We manufacture our shower bases out of the Corian® solid surface material. Corian is a non-porous material. The shower base and the drain are all one piece, so the shower base is completely waterproof.
Yes! The shower base and the drain are all one piece of Corian solid surface material and the shower base connects directly to your plumbing. Because there are no separate parts, there are areas to worry about leaks.
Our custom shower bases feature a linear drain that is always along the front entry side of the shower base and the drain output is centered inside of the drain trench. If you have a floor joist in the way of that drain output, we can move the drain output left or right in the drain trench to miss the floor joist.
Yes, the floor of the shower base is sloped at 2% so the water will flow into the linear trench drain.
